Purpose and Scope

ASAP Recruitment prohibits employees presenting to work under the influence of alcohol or drugs as per relevant state workplace guidelines.

Managers/clients who suspect an employee is under the influence of drugs or alcohol will organise for them to be sent home by contacting their next of kin to collect them or providing a cab voucher for safe transport home. This is to remove exposure of workers, contractors, clients, customers and visitors to unsafe conditions whilst on our client’s workplaces.

If there is sufficient cause to believe that there has been a breach of this policy an individual may be subject to drug and alcohol testing. Where there has been damage or injury to any person or property as a result of breaching this policy, any and all liability will rest with the individual concerned.

Employees will be subject to random drug and alcohol testing at clients workplace. If a random test is undertaken all employees {including management) and visitors names will be randomly selected whilst the tester is on-site and then tested. If an employee refuses to be tested then it will be assumed that this person has failed the test and subject to the terms below.

This policy applies to All ASAP employees, workers, contractors, in all ASAP workplaces. A workplace includes Distribution Centre’s, offices, vehicles or other areas, machinery or property owned, controlled by ASAP or ASAP clients. Compliance is expected.
